Washing Colorfastness Tester adopts a box-type structure, consisting of a test chamber, a control panel, and a rotation system. The main shaft of the rotation system runs horizontally through the test chamber, equipped with sockets for 6 large steel cups and 6 small steel cups.
During testing, steel cups loaded with samples, detergent, and steel balls are mounted on the main shaft. After heating the water in the chamber to a specified temperature, the motor drives the main shaft to rotate at a speed of 40 rpm. This causes the samples and steel balls inside the cups to rub against each other in the detergent solution at a constant temperature for a set duration, simulating 5 cycles of household or commercial laundering in daily life. The color change of the samples after washing is then observed to assess and grade their color fastness.
