This instrument is applicable to all types of shoelaces and eyelets. Pass one end of the shoelace through the eyelet clamped on the fiberboard, with the shoelace forming a 90° angle to the eyelet and the fiberboard forming a 45° angle to the shoelace. Tighten the shoelace under standard tensile force, then pull it back and forth repeatedly through the eyelet. The test shall be stopped when the shoelace is damaged.
