The JIS electric rubbing fastness tester is mainly used for evaluating and determining the color fastness to rubbing of dyed fiber products. Wrap dry or wet white cotton cloth around the rubbing hammer of this tester, then rub the colored test piece with a specified load and number of cycles.
Compare the result against the gray scale to grade the color fastness to rubbing. This instrument can also be used for rubbing tests involving organic solvents.
