Instrument Function

The ICI Pilling Tester   consists of a base and two test chambers.

After rolling for a specified period of time, the test is stopped and the specimens are removed. The surface condition of the specimens is observed and compared with standard reference photographs.

This instrument is designed to test the pilling phenomenon of fabrics caused by friction under zero-pressure conditions, so as to evaluate the pilling resistance of the tested materials. It is applicable to both woven and knitted fabrics.
